SOMETHING’S FISHY IN SHOREHAM AT BRIGHTON AND NEWHAVEN FISH SALES’ PROMOTIONAL EVENING

We were drenched, but happy, at a promotional night at FISH, the retail outlet for Brighton and Newhaven Fish Sales in Shoreham Harbour on Friday 13th. No bad omens here.
Well trained ‘Fish’ staff showed us how to prepare seafood whilst top chef Alan White and his assistant Isaac from the acclaimed GB1 restaurant at The Grand hotel cooked it up for us in a rain lashed stall outside.
Free wine and champagne flowed, and despite the foul weather, the evening was thoroughly enjoyable – and very, very tasty. Around 30 people attended, taking part in the tour of Brighton and Newhaven Fish Sales’ facilities (they own and operate their own fishing fleet), food prep demos in the shop and fine platters cooked on gas stoves outside.
All ‘Fish’ product is caught fresh off the coast of Sussex and they supply over 150 restaurants, cafes, bars and other premises in the local area.
