Detectives are actively investigating the stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Hastings.
The man, from London, is in a serious but not life threatening condition after being attacked by two men in Mount Pleasant Road.
The attack happened in the road at its junction with Priory Road and Egremont Place at about 3.30pm on Monday (8 September).
Detective Inspector Gavin Patch said:
“The victim suffered several stab wounds but fortunately his condition is no longer critical.
I don’t believe this was a random attack and that the men are probably known to one another. We are interested in talking to anyone who was in the area at the time and may be able to help us with our inquiries. They can approach the extra officers on patrol in the area and those conducting house to house enquiries.
Did you see the attackers, described as being of mixed race and dressed casually, just before or after the assault? We would also like to hear from you if you saw a black Mercedes in the area just before the attack. The car, registration LM55KNH, is being linked to the men and was recovered by police in nearby Hardwick Road soon after the attack.
If you have information please contact police on 101 email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Rocky or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
