Man Attacked In Brighton Burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary at a property in Brighton.

Between 8am and 8.30am on Tuesday, July 8 two men broke into a flat in Eaton Place, Brighton and attacked the man in the flat with a metal bar. The victim, a 48-year-old man, was in bed when two men came into the flat and has been left with two broken arms, a fractured skull and bruises to his arms and body.

D.C. Grant Hebblewhite said:

“This would have been a busy time of morning with people travelling to work and school and we are appealing to anyone who saw two men in the area around 8am that morning.

“The suspects are described as two white men both between 40 and 50. One had blonde hair, had a large build and was wearing a yellow fluorescent jacket. The second man was smaller, slimmer with short shaven dark hair. It was the smaller man who used the iron bar on the victim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 511 of 8/7. Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
