Police Appeal For Witnesses- East Grinstead Assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with a serious head injury in a car park in East Grinstead on Wednesday evening (2 July).

The man had been to the Wing Wah Chinese to buy a takeaway in London Road and was walking across the car park near the fire station.
He was found by members of the public at 7pm and an ambulance was called and he was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, London, where he is in a critical condition.

 

The man is described as white, about 60 years of age and of large build.

 

Detective Sergeant Dan Gower said:
“We are trying to find out what happened to the man and if anyone saw him prior to being discovered. We would like to hear from anyone who saw him in the car park before 7pm.”
