Eastbourne Pier Dead Man Named

 
The man who fell while working on Eastbourne Pier on Tuesday afternoon (August 19) has been named as Stephen Penrice, 44 from  Cumbria.

Emergency services were called shortly after 4pm to reports that a man had fallen from the pier, however Stephen was sadly declared dead at the scene.

Sussex Police will be joined by colleagues from the Health and Safety Executive to investigate the incident.
