There are lots of open spaces in and around Brighton and Hove.
One of our favourites is Runyard Kipling’s former home in Rottingdean, now run by the City Council.
Rottingdean is an easy bus ride eastwards along the seafront for a couple of miles from Brighton. It has plenty of old world charm and is an endearing country village.
Kipling, world famous Victorian author of The Jungle Book lived here in the early 20th century.
