Police in Bexhill-on-Sea have donated \u00a3250 to the South Coast Pits Off-Road Project to help it continue to offer an\u00a0off-road\u00a0riding facility in Coneyburrow Lane, Bexhill-on-Sea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Project spokesman Daniel Selmes said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting up the off-road motorbiking at the site\u00a0is something I know is well received by the\u00a0off-road motorbike community and we are keen to\u00a0look at offering even more.<\/p>\n

In time, we hope to offer those wanting a taste of off-roading the opportunity to rent a bike from us and use our facility.<\/p>\n

We would also like to be able to offer our venue and services to schools and youth organisations, so that children can be educated in riding skills, bike maintenance, mechanics, health and fitness.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.<\/p>\n

Police Community Support Officer Roy Collins said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was really pleased to\u00a0present Daniel and members of the off-road project with this cheque from Sussex Police,\u00a0as these funds are sure to benefit the community.<\/p>\n

I really hope people get behind them and show their support, as they are offering something really fun and different.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n
