{"id":7730,"date":"2014-11-12T13:25:51","date_gmt":"2014-11-12T13:25:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coopsy.co.uk\/thenews\/?p=7730"},"modified":"2014-11-21T10:42:19","modified_gmt":"2014-11-21T10:42:19","slug":"labour-mep-has-hiv-test","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/the-news.uk\/index.php\/news\/local-news-brighton\/2014\/11\/labour-mep-has-hiv-test\/","title":{"rendered":"Labour MEP Has HIV Test"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Labour MEP for the South East Annelise Dodds supported Brighton&#8217;s Terence Higgins Trust during HIV awareness week.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Terence Higgins Trust was set up in 1982 to help breakdown the taboos which surround AIDS and HIV and now employs over 350 staff at 30 centres around the UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annelise Dodds MEP volunteered to take the test and said;<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I fully support the work they are doing here.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Ross Bosley, health promotional co-ordinator at the Trust&#8217;s Brighton centre in Ship Street said;<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The finger test for HIV is simplicity in itself. It only takes 20 minutes for the result and we have full support at hand. It is completely free and completely confidential. Although we work closely with the local NHS trust the test result is not shared and kept separate from your medical records.
