Stanmer Nursery is the place to be in National Gardening Week<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

For gardening inspiration on your doorstep Stanmer Nursery<\/strong> in Brighton is now fully stocked with plants of all kinds, from perennials and shrubs, to hanging baskets, bedding and wildflowers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During National Gardening Week<\/strong> this week (14-20 April)<\/strong> the Brighton & Hove City Council<\/strong>-run nursery has an offer of six herbs for \u00a310. <\/span><\/p>\n

The nursery has been producing plants for Brighton & Hove\u2019s parks since the 1950s and offers home-grown plants to the general public to purchase. It\u2019s one of the city\u2019s hidden gems, located in the old walled kitchen garden of Stanmer\u00a0Park<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nursery Team Leader Sarah Carlisle<\/strong> said: \u201cIt really is a beautiful place to visit and we\u2019re open seven days a week. There are lots of things to see at the moment. Some of the plants in flower include dicentras (Bleeding Heart), violas, iris and euphorbias.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Stanmer Nursery<\/strong> also specialises in chalk downland wildflowers. One of the more unusual plants on sale includes Restharrow<\/strong>, a low growing plant with pink flowers.\u00a0<\/span> <\/p>\n
