{"id":3884,"date":"2013-07-19T17:11:26","date_gmt":"2013-07-19T17:11:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coopsy.co.uk\/thenews\/?p=3884"},"modified":"2013-08-02T12:02:25","modified_gmt":"2013-08-02T12:02:25","slug":"3884","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/the-news.uk\/index.php\/politics-2\/2013\/07\/3884\/","title":{"rendered":"KEMPTOWN MP WELCOMES BUS REASSURANCES FOR WOODINGDEAN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By our political team<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/the-news.uk\/index.php\/local-news-brighton\/2013\/02\/it-is-good-to-count-says-m-p\/attachment\/kirby-1-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2675\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2675\" alt=\"Kirby 1\" src=\"https:\/\/coopsy.co.uk\/thenews\/wp-content\/uploads\/Kirby-12-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Simon Kirby<\/strong>, Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, today met with <strong>Martin Harris<\/strong>, the Chief Executive of Brighton and\u00a0<strong style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Hove Buses<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">to discuss the issues affecting bus users in his constituency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Simon said: &#8220;It was great to meet with Mr Harris to be able to put forward\u00a0 in person the concerns that residents raise with me on a regular basis surrounding bus services in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Amongst the issues raised by the Member of Parliament were concerns surrounding the future of the 27 bus service, the poor level of service received by residents of Woodingdean, and problems experienced with the key cards.<\/p>\n<p>Simon said: &#8220;I was delighted to get confirmation from the Chief Executive that there will be no cuts to the 27 bus service, which will be a great relief for the people who use this service.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Simon, who surveyed thousands of residents in Woodingdean for their views on local bus services added: &#8220;I was also pleased to receive an assurance that the company will look closely at the possibility of improving services for Woodingdean.
