First performed in 1980 in the West End and on Broadway, the play was in 1983 made into a multi award-winning film starring Albert Finney and Tom Courtenay and a BBC television film starring Ian McKellen and Anthony Hopkins last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Ken Stott<\/strong> has received four Best Actor Olivier Award nominations for his work at the National Theatre and in the West End in <em>The Recruiting Officer<\/em>, <em>Broken Glass<\/em> (for which he won Best Actor in a Supporting Role), <em>Art<\/em> with Albert Finney and Tom Courtenay, and <em>A<\/em> <em>View from the Bridge<\/em>. His film credits include <em>The Hobbit<\/em>, <em>Charlie Wilson\u2019s War<\/em> and <em>The Chronicles of Narnia<\/em>, and his television credits include the critically acclaimed BBC series <em>The Missing<\/em>, for which he received a BAFTA nomination, and <em>Rebus<\/em>, the Ian Rankin crime drama in which Ken played the title role.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Reece Shearsmith<\/strong> recently appeared in the Olivier and South Bank Award-winning <em>Hangmen<\/em> at the Royal Court. His other theatre credits include <em>Absent Friends<\/em> at the Harold Pinter Theatre, <em>Comedians<\/em> at the Lyric Theatre and <em>The Producers<\/em> at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. He is perhaps best known for his starring roles in the multi-award-winning cult television series<em> The League of Gentlemen<\/em> and its spin-offs <em>Inside No. 9<\/em> and <em>Psychoville<\/em>. His film credits include <em>High Rise<\/em>, <em>Shaun of the Dead<\/em> and <em>Birthday Girl<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Ronald Harwood is an Academy Award, Palme d\u2019Or and BAFTA-winning screenwriter and playwright, whose films include <em>The Diving Bell and the Butterfly<\/em>, <em>The Pianist<\/em>, <em>Quartet<\/em> and <em>Love in the Time of Cholera<\/em>.
