Her red dress now ragged<\/p>\n

Not pretty nor neat<\/p>\n

She recalls the night<\/p>\n

That she looked in his eyes<\/p>\n

Promising jewels<\/p>\n

Really it was lies<\/p>\n

He took her away<\/p>\n

In the peak of the night<\/p>\n

Smiles on their faces<\/p>\n

On the edge of a fight<\/p>\n

The jewels were really bruises<\/p>\n

They lay upon her skin<\/p>\n

Not knowing where she stands<\/p>\n

Broken and defeated<\/p>\n

Lying at his toes<\/p>\n

He’s the real weak one<\/p>\n

But only he knows<\/p>\n

Opening the door<\/p>\n

They’d ask her where she’d been<\/p>\n

She would cry about his bluntness<\/p>\n

Then fall into his arms<\/p>\n

Her friends say he’s not appealing<\/p>\n

She says he’s full of charm<\/p>\n

After enough tears were cried<\/p>\n

She would say that it\u2019s the end<\/p>\n

Only to love him<\/p>\n

Again and again<\/p>\n

Here she is now<\/p>\n

Bottle in her hand<\/p>\n

Confused, bemused<\/p>\n

She’s pulling out her hair<\/p>\n

Strands lie on the floor<\/p>\n

Her heart crumpled at her feet<\/p>\n
