At Shoreham Airshow the star which swept the stage has to be the RAF’s latest fast jet, the Typhoon.
The older generation planes took far longer to circle around and comeback for another attack. The Lancaster bomber from WWII could take up to 10 nerve raking minutes if it missed the target and had to go around again. The fifth generation of fighter bomber aircraft, the Typhoon passes across the airfield, flicks over and comes straight back.
