The path, which is due to be completed mid-September, will run adjacent to the Falmer Road and link the Amex Stadium, Universities and Falmer Rail Station with Woodingdean. This will allow safer and quicker travel for both cyclists and pedestrians by taking them off the busy Falmer Road.

“The improved pathway will benefit those living in Woodingdean who commute from Falmer Station; go to either University or who have a season ticket with Brighton and Hove Albion.”  Mr Kirby said. “Instead of having to spend time cycling on busy roads or via the Lewes Road route residents will have a direct link to many of the services they require.’
