Police are hoping to trace this man in connection with the rape of a woman on Brighton beach last month.
In the early hours of Sunday, November 2, the victim, a 43-year-old Brighton woman had been walking on the beach near to the pier. She met with two men, who she hadn’t met before, and they began chatting and shared a drink and cigarettes on the beach under the pier around 3am.
One of the men sexually assaulted and then raped the woman. She threw stones at him and he ran away from the scene heading west along the seafront.
Detective sergeant Chris Lane said:
Following extensive enquiries, a suspect has been captured on CCTV at a local off licence and we are hoping that someone will be able to help us identify the man in the image.
We are offering support to the victim and asking anyone who recognises this man or has any information to contact us on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 243 of 2/11.”
