Detectives want to identify this man who may be connected to an attempted robbery in Brighton.
A 28-year-old woman was walking home from work on Friday, August 29 at around 4pm when a man ran up behind her and tried to grab her handbag. She held onto it but the man pushed her over and she fell and suffered a fracture to her shoulder.
The victim was walking across Hollingdean Park when she heard a man coming up behind her and she moved over to let him pass but he grabbed her bag.
DC Emma Vickers said:
“The suspect is described as around 17, around 5′ 4” and skinny and was wearing a brown hooded top and dark denim jeans. This CCTV image shows a man in the area at the time who matches the description and was seen again running from the area after the attempted robbery.
“Nothing was taken but the victim has been left with hairline fracture to her shoulder and is very shaken. If you recognise him or saw anything in the area please contact police on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or 101 quoting serial 1126 of 29/8.
