The first person in Brighton and Hove has been charged under new stalking laws.
Besmir Pepkolaj, 29, a security employee of Church Road, Hove has been charged with harassment. This comes under the new section of the Protection from Harassment Act which relates to stalking involving serious alarm or distress to his ex-partner.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on September 18.
