The December 2013 Police Bravery Awards were presented at the Sussex County Cricket ground, Hove by the Mayor, Councillor Denise Cobb, and newly elected Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne.
Senior officer present was Assistant Chief Constable Robin Smith.
Police Bravery Awards
Katy Bourne was elected as PCC in October 2012, before which she was a Conservative Party Parliamentary candidate.
Chief Superintendent Nev Kemp is the current divisional commander of Brighton & Hove Police.
The Police awards are presented to a wide range of individuals.Included this time were a school boy who found a lost toddler, a hotel manager spotting a drug dealer, civil support staff, and dedicated detectives working in extreme danger.
Councillor Denise Cobb, this year’s mayor of Brighton & Hove, wears her traditional robes, hat, and shrieval chain when carrying out her duties. In the pictures below she is presenting the awards with Mrs Bourne.
