It was sad to read the very last participant of World War I has passed away- a lady aged 110 who served at an RAF base in England- in February of this year.

WWI was from August 1914  until the Armistice at the 11th hour on 11th November 1918.

We will remember them.

Crosses were laid for the recently fallen in more modern conflicts. Remembrance Day commemorates all those lost from the Services since 1918.

Afterwards the crowds quietly dispersed. Everyone appeared grateful to the three emergency services, Police, Fire, and Ambulance, all present to ensure our safety today.
