It was sad to read the very last participant of World War I has passed away- a lady aged 110 who served at an RAF base in England- in February of this year.
WWI was from August 1914 until the Armistice at the 11th hour on 11th November 1918.

We will remember them.
Brighton War Memorial saw crowds gathering for the Remembrance service on a crisp bright Sunday

Crosses were laid for the recently fallen in more modern conflicts. Remembrance Day commemorates all those lost from the Services since 1918.

Green Councillor Bill Randall, Mayor of Brighton this year, waits for the march past.

Also present is Brighton Pavilion’s MP, Caroline Lucas

And Brighton Kemptown’s MP, Simon Kirby
The march past had contingents from all three services

Afterwards the crowds quietly dispersed. Everyone appeared grateful to the three emergency services, Police, Fire, and Ambulance, all present to ensure our safety today.
