PCSO Hannah Parks said:

Uckfield Foodbank is a real lifeline for local people and October 2015 was its busiest month since opening two years ago. I hope this donation will help it continue its valuable work.

Sharon Burt, Uckfield Foodbank said:

Without the support of those in the community who help to donate 10 large shopping trolleys of food each month we would not be able to help. However, there are also financial costs involved in running the organisation. On behalf of Uckfield Foodbank clients we would like to thank PCSO Parks and Sussex Police for their generous support.”

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
