Police has donated £500 to the family of Mary Shipstone, for ‘Mary’s Fund’, named after Mary who so tragically died in September 2014.

The fund enables children living in difficult circumstances to receive support from The Music Well’s therapy service.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

Police Community Support Officer, Becky Unicombe said:

We are pleased to be able to support ‘Mary’s Fund’ and I am sure that our donation will go some way to helping others.

The Music Well, welcomes all age groups and can also arrange home visits for music therapy and musical activity for those who are housebound due to illness. It is a wonderful way to remember such a special little girl and her legacy ‘Mary’s Fund’, can support so many others in a unique way.”
