Brighton Sea Life Centre- Dinosaur Detective
Calling all super sleuths and budding archaeologists! Sea Life Brighton is inviting you to become a ‘dinosaur detective’ this half term (06 – 21 February) as part of its brand new Ancient Oceans installation.
Ancient Oceans will immerse visitors in the fascinating history and evolution of the oceans and the creatures that live within them.
Keen investigators will be able to take part in a skeleton hunt, tasked with scouring the aquarium in search of the bones of an ancient creature.
For history hunters, there is the chance to excavate buried fossils at the Ancient Oceans dig station, with Dr Doug on hand to help young visitors examine their findings and learn more about the sea dwellers of the past.
Alongside highly interactive activities, Ancient Oceans promises to entertain visitors of all ages with engaging talks from marine experts, stunning creature displays, and even the opportunity to have a photo alongside terrifying dinosaurs of the deep.

Visitors will also be able enjoy the aquarium’s thrilling Jurassic Seas interactive zone, where they can learn more about ancient aquatic creatures and come face-to-face with Sea Life Brighton’s digital dinosaurs.
As if that wasn’t enough, visitors to Ancient Oceans at Sea Life Brighton will have the chance to leave the aquarium as certified Dinosaur Detectives – joining Dr Doug and his team of dino-enthusiasts.
Max Leviston, General Manager of Sea Life Brighton comments: “The Ocean is vast and fascinating, but also quite mysterious – by hosting Ancient Oceans at Sea Life Brighton, we hope to help our visitors learn more about the history of the ocean and its creatures.
“Some of the creatures we have at our aquarium have existed for thousands of years, such as the Giant Nautilus, and it is incredible to see how they have evolved to the creature we see today.
“With so much to learn, experience and enjoy, I’m sure there will be plenty of children hoping to become Dinosaur Detectives – and quite a few adults too!”
Sea Life Brighton is open from 10am every day apart from Christmas Day. For current closing times or further information, please visit www.visitsealife.com/brighton.
